ACT links up to medical data 'internet'

A new digital network allowing ACT medical researchers to share information about major diseases is now online.
The ACT node of the BioGrid network was launched at the Australian National University this morning.
The BioGrid network has been running since 2005 and is now available to researchers in Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and New South Wales.

BioGrid Australia has received a Laureate Medal for the Computerworld Honours Program – a tribute to the leaders of the global IT revolution.
